Mechanic's Institute Update

Frankston Council have submitted a grant to the Commonwealth Government for $2.5 million for the renovation of the Frankston Mechanics Institute. The grant includes money for the re-establishment of the 1915 building facade, those familiar with the Sommerville Mechanics Institute will appreciate this gesture as a recognition of the social and cultural heritage the Mechanics Institute represents in Frankston.
